【详细解释】 EAGLES is an initiative of the European Commission (EC). It was launched, in February 1993, within EC Directorate General XIII's Linguistic Research and Engineering programme, as project LRE-61-100. The aim of EAGLES is to accelerate the provision of standards for (1) very large-scale language resources (such as text corpora, computational lexicons and speech corpora); (2) means of manipulating such knowledge, via computational linguistic formalisms, mark-up languages and various software tools; and (3) means of assessing and evaluating resources, tools and products.
